Gurukul College for Women Faridkot started in the year 2009 is affiliated college situated in Punjab state of India. Located at Bathinda-Bajakhana Road Kothe Kotkapura it is a women’s institution offering quality education. Currently, the college has 11 courses of subjects in 8 degree programmes provided for students with different academic preferences and goals. A women’s college with special emphasis to female students, Gurukul College for Women is gradually making its mark in the area over the past one and half-decade.

The library also has the role of being the centre where learners obtain bibliographic and study materials for academic studies. Gurukul College for Women has ample full time course combination that comprises of under graduate and post graduate degree programmes. f college offers 11 differing subjects including arts, commerce, science, and professional both at undergraduate and post graduate levels. Offering under graduate courses include Bachelor of Arts BA, Bachelor of Commerce B.Com, Bachelor of Computer Applications BCA and Bachelor of Business Administration BBA among others. This college provides postgraduate courses for those students who want to proceed to high level education as M.Sc in Information Technology and Fashion Technology, PGDCA and PGD in Dress Designing and Tailoring etc. The total of approved intake for the courses is different; BCA has the highest capacity if 100 then BA has 80 capacity and M.Sc Information Technology Lateral Entry has 80 seats.

Gurukul College for Women has laid out very simple admission procedure and policies that are very easy to understand. Although it is unclear regarding the general admission process as well as admission procedure for the specific courses, there is often a policy of the colleges affiliated to the parent university.
