Gurukul Patanjali Vidyapeeth, Ghazipur: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Gurukul Patanjali Vidyapeeth is a private establishment that was started in 2017 in Rampur Devoria, Malsa, Sultanpur Urf Manpur, Uttar Pradesh. This co-educational institute is affiliated with Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University, Jaunpur and offers courses only in teacher education. The college offers two full-time courses: three year faults of a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and a two year fault of a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed). As it has 86 students in total and faculty strength of 8, Students-teacher ratio is good for focused learning for aspiring educators. The institute is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) to confirm to the set standard of the nation in training teachers. 

Facilities are provided inside the campus of Gurukul Patanjali Vidyapeeth to make the campus more effective and comfortable for the students. The college has well equipped laboratories where students can do practical without supervision other than the instructor. An IMS Compliant Library covering books, magazines’/ journals’ and periodicals as well as reading room services for academic support form an integral part of the resources. According to the institute’s physical facilities, the computer laboratory with skilled staff to offer computer education and Internet is callable. To ensure the students of the college have special attention given to Physical Education, the college offers diversified sports such as Football, Hockey and Badminton to mention but a few hiring professional and qualified instructors in Physical Education. Extra facilities include students and staffs’ eating house, accommodation for visiting faculties and patients and families, and internet services in the college. 

The courses available at Gurukul Patanjali Vidyapeeth are highly specialised offering only two courses in the realm of education. The B.Ed course and D.El.Ed. are both two years’ full time courses of study. Intake capacity of D.El.Ed programme is limited to 50 students while the intake capacity of B.Ed programme is not mentioned. These courses are meant to equip students with attitudes, knowledge and training for teaching and administering educational institutions. The total student enrollment in all courses is 86 which shows the institute’s policy of admitting small number of students in a class to allow individual attention as well as the provision of quality education. 

At Gurukul Patanjali Vidyapeeth there are rules followed based on the government and university policies in terms of admission whereby students are admitted based on the marks scored in other qualifying exams test or any other mode of selection. In respect of the B.Ed programme admission is given on merit, which may be qualifying exams, entrance exams, selection criteria set by the state government, UT administration and the university as well. Likewise, admissions in the D.El.Ed programme are based on the student’s merit in the qualification examination, entrance examination, or any other method as defined by the state government.
