Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering is a three-year full-time course offered by the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education, Mumbai, and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).


Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility criteria for First-Year Admission in Diploma in Engineering

  • Candidates passing SSC examination: The candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed the SSC (Std.X) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects with a minimum of 35% marks. The curriculum will be for 3 years.

  • Maharashtra State Candidates: The candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed the SSC (Std.X) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects with minimum 35% marks. The curriculum will be for 3 years.

  • Outside Home District Candidates: Candidates will have the type of candidature as “Outside Home District” if candidate passing SSC (Std. X) examination from a college outside the region. Candidates passing the SSC (Std. X) or its equivalent examination with a minimum of 50 % marks.

Eligibility criteria for Second Year Admission in Diploma in Engineering

  • Candidates passing HSSC examination: The candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed the HSSC (Std.XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with stream science and secured minimum 50% marks aggregate for open category and 45% marks aggregate for backward class category candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only. The curriculum will be for 2 years.

  • Maharashtra State Candidates: Candidates passing the HSSC (Std. XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with stream science and secured a minimum of 50% marks aggregate for open category and 45% marks aggregate for backward class category candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only. The curriculum will be for 2 years.

  • Outside Home District Candidates: Candidates will have the type of candidature as “Outside Home District” if the candidate passes either SSC (Std. X) or HSSC (Std. XII) or both the examinations from a college outside the region. Candidates passing the HSC (Std. XII) or its equivalent examination with stream science should have secured a minimum of 50 % marks aggregate for all categories.

Admission Details

All the seats are allotted to the Centralized Allotment Process (CAP) as per the Directorate of Technical Education under the Government of Maharashtra, Mumbai.
