GVSM Government Degree College, Prakasam: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

GVSM Government Degree College, Prakasam, was initiated in the year 1978. It is an affiliated college located in Arundati Nagar, Ulavapadu, Andhra Pradesh. It is a co-educational college spread over a vast swathe of 19 acres and taking great care to provide an environment that is conducive not only for learning but also for the holistic growth of the students. Currently there are 121 students and 9 member faculty members in the college. GVSM Government Degree College provides three undergraduate programs: B.Com, B.Sc, BA, with an intake of 30 students into each course.

Its mission, imparting this quality education at nominal fees for all the students expending the least available means and resources, is a responsibility of a government institution. The college has made a great range of facilities available so as to ensure the best learning avenues for the students. The library is well equipped with a large array of books, journals, and digital sources for the students to refer to. In college, there are department laboratories fully equipped with modern apparatus and technology. Physical condition enthusiasts can take use of the on-campus gym and many more sport facilities. It also gives focus to technological development in the place with brilliant infrastructure for IT so that students can keep themselves updated with the latest developments in studies. Health and safety are also catered for with a health centre that provides first aid to the students. Another peculiar feature of the college is its network with alumni through proper and efficient alumni associations. 

GVSM Government Degree College runs three full-time undergraduate courses, which are of three years duration. The total seat intake of students in the college is 90, but only 30 seats are available for each of the three respective degree courses.

The admission is so designed that it remains simple and within reach of every candidate fulfilling the eligibility requirements to get admitted to GVSM Government Degree College. The college follows any standard admission norms that are set by their affiliated university. The college admissions may be as per the academic merit for the qualifying examination.
