Gyan Sthali Degree College, Bharthana was founded in 2009 which is an affiliated college situated in Etawah, Uttar Pradesh. The institute is recognised by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and here Teacher Education Programmes are conducted. The college has an area of 2. 3549 acre, and the total enrolment of students is 167, while the total number of faculty members is 35. At present, the Gyan Sthali Degree College offers only one degree D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education) for one hundred approved seats. This college is focused to educate and train the teachers with quality education in the field of teacher training. 

Gyan Sthali Degree College has several facilities where students can study and personalities can develop themselves. A well stocked library provides books, reference books, encyclopedia, magazine and journals as per NCTE norm of B Ed programme. This science laboratory is well equipped, and fairly updated in accordance to the recommendations of NCTE so that students engage practical lessons. To maintain physical fitness and recreation there are ground for cricket football basket ball and volley ball outdoor and indoor facilities for table tennis badminton chess carom etc. Modern gymnasium is present in the campus to enhance teenager’s health through physical exercise. The college also has a health centre equipped with basic amenities for first aid treatment, and a canteen for student and staff. 

In Gyan Sthali Degree College, the alumni association of the college is functioning more effectively which has an interesting role in the progress of the college. To this end, the association invites guest lectures from different industries by successful alumni of the institute. To ensure students have a bond with their predecessors Annual Alumni Meets are always organised. Alumni feedback is appreciated regarding infrastructure facilities, approaches to teaching, and the contents of a programme in order to meet the requirements of a professional field. Some alumni have also donated books in to the college library to improve the current library facilities for students.

Gyan Sthali Degree College today offers one full stream programme only which is D.El.Ed having a tenure of two years. The number of seats approved for this programme is 100 in total. This form of organisation enables the college to fitness best its attention on providing fine teacher education. The college training of teachers helps to produce the needed human capital of skilled educators in the region though data on graduates cannot be obtained. 

The admission procedure of the students of Gyan Sthali Degree College is in consonance with the rules and regulation of the state government and UT administration. Selection criteria generally include marks secured in the qualifying test and/or entrance examination. The college may also use other processes of selection based on government policy in place at the time of the implementation of the policy.
