H L College of Commerce, also known as HL College, was founded in 1936 by the Ahmedabad Education Society (AES). It was established with a generous donation from Shri Amritlal Hargovandas and Shri Tribhovandas Hargovandas in memory of their father, Shri Hargovandas Lakhmichand. HLCC Ahmedabad is affiliated with Gujarat University, Ahmedabad.
HL College is one of the few colleges in India that has the unique distinction of being Accredited with an 'A+' grade in 2005, re-accredited with an 'A' grade in 2012, and re-accredited with a 'B++' grade in 2019 by NAAC (UGC).
HL College of Commerce offers a range of courses, including a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) programme and two Master of Commerce (M.Com) programmes, namely M.Com Self-finance and M.Com. HL College of Commerce course admission is merit-based.
Admission is based on the scores of previous qualifying examinations (class 12 and graduation). HLCC placement cell- Udisha oversees all the placement-related activities and provides students with job opportunities.
Deserving students are provided financial assistance in the form of HLCC Ahmedabad scholarships, including the Prof MG Shah Scholarship, Principal’s Aid Fund scholarship, Need cum Merit scholarships and others.
The HLCC College of Commerce stands have an expansive green campus grounds for games, a spacious HL Plaza with a built-in stage and sound system for events, a beautiful building, and a great environment for learning.
