Haji Ajmal Ali College was established in 1995 in the Nilbagan locality, Hojai, Assam. Located beside the Nilbagan Flyover, this is a co-educational institution of higher learning, and a campus spread over 2.644 acres has all the facilities necessary to enable these aspiring learners in higher learning.  The college has a suitable ratio of students to teachers, hence affording each student individual attention in their journey, as the student strength is 215 and 11 faculty members.

A well-stocked library forms the hub of the campus, housing volumes that can cater to the wide spectrum of academic interests of its students. The library also preserves a competitive examination preparation section besides providing the magazines and Assamese and English language-based newspapers. This resource centre contributes greatly to the reading and research culture among the students. Besides, for cultural and academic purposes, there is an auditorium within the college campus where numerous seminars and events take place, which encourages the students to take part in extracurricular activities.
