Hazi Sayed Progressive Teachers Training Institute, Murshidabad, West Bengal, is a relatively new educational institute, established in 2017. Both courses are two-year programs and designed to impart skills and knowledge essential for the students seeking a thriving teaching profession. The sanctioned intake of the institute, spread over the said two courses, is 200.

Admission to the Haji Sayed Progressive Teachers Training Institute shall be based on merit with the eventual result of academic excellence. Admissions to the B.Ed course shall be based on the marks secured in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. Merit for the D.El.Ed. course shall be determined from the marks in the qualifying examination and/or by an entrance test, as per state government policies.
