About Haldia Institute of Technology (HIT) Haldia
Haldia Institute of Technology (HIT) in West Bengal was established by the Indian Centre for Advancement of Research and Education (ICARE) in 1996. It is the first private and fully residential engineering college in West Bengal, dedicated to providing high-quality technical education and promoting innovation.
The HIT in Haldia is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). HIT Haldia is affiliated with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, Kolkata and approved by AICTE, New Delhi.

College Infrastructure
The hostel facilities are good, the mess food is just edible. Hostels have now started the Wi-Fi facilities for free. The hostels hardly have any power outage, however the accommodation management. Hostel facilities are overall good. In the mess food quality are average.

The facilities and infrastructure are very good.. Hostel mess and canteen food are up to the mark. The Wi-Fi connection is good, but sometimes it works slow. Infrastructure such as Wi-Fi, central library, classrooms, sports facilities, hostels, and medical facilities are provided to each student. Every department has its own departmental library. Overall, the infrastructure of the college is good.
