Hannamma Christian College of Education, Proddatur, was started in 1986 as an affiliated college in Y.M.R. Colony, Proddattur, Andhra Pradesh. This co-educational institution is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education, New Delhi, and has a good record of standing with high standards in teacher education. This college offers two main professional courses aimed at building up future teachers: B.Ed and D.El.Ed. The institution has a faculty strength of 9, committed to the task of grooming the future generation of teachers. 

Hannamma Christian College of Education works towards an effective learning environment. The library is well-stocked with 3,170 books and 16 technical/professional journals, with a seating capacity of 50 students. The campus has indoor and outdoor facilities for sports and physical activities for interested students. Hannamma Christian College of Education runs two full-time courses each for two years. The sanctioned intakes of the B.Ed. and D.El.Ed. courses are 100 students each, adding to a total of 200 seats for both programmes. These courses focus on training students to meet the challenge in the field of education.
