Located at Dhakuakhana in Lakhimpur district of Assam, Harhi College was set up in 1996. This is a co-educational institution offering undergraduate programs in the stream of arts. The affiliation is with the National Assessment and Accreditation Council-accredited college, spread on 7 acres, with a total of 474 students and a faculty strength of 24. The college has 10 courses across 2 degrees, with specialisations in various disciplines under the arts stream. 

Several facilities have been provided within the institution for enhancing the learning process as well as developing the overall personality of the student. The library is the fundamental academic resource center and well-stocked with 6000 reading materials in the form of texts, references, and rare books. It has a special collection in Human Rights, Medicinal Plants, and Gandhian Thoughts. The library is provided with a Local Area Network using SOUL software to manage the resources effectively, and has recently acquired membership to the INFLIBNET, Ahmedabad, for accessing e-resources. In so far as the students' accommodation is concerned, Harhi College has both boys' and girls' hostels where students from faraway places may live comfortably. 

Harhi College runs a total of 10 undergraduate courses, all of which are full-time programmes. Most of the courses offered in this college are in the genre of BA with different major subjects as options.
