I had perfect infrastructure at my college. We had all the necessary things at one place. The libraries, the labs were perfect for us. We also had a well maintained sports area. Community halls etc. Each and everything were perfect out there.
I really got some very polite and lovely educator in my college. They all were too qualified to teach some novice like us. They all kept us up to date about the market that we can be ready for our future.
I have completed my graduation in the mid of pandemic. That's why couldn't experience the placement drive. Still looking at the previous years I can say that some well known companies do visit at our campus and students get jobs from there.
We had to pay a nominal amount in each semester. Where as I could get to know that other colleges are charging much more than us. It was easier for every student to pay the fees.
I had a really friendly college campus. The best thing was the seniors were too supportive and they promoted the fact it was a ragging free campus. The union members were not so polite that can be called as a bad feature. But all the staffs, faculties were outstanding. Safest place for everyone. The location was prompt.
I had experienced a really good time in my college. At first I was a bit frightened. But as soon as I get to know about my campus, my educators, my classmates everything were too good then. I feel proud to be a part of the college.
Classrooms are really spacious as well as this college is well equipped with facilities like two libraries, computer laboratories, WiFi, smart boards and the college canteen is really good. It provides all delicious foods at very cheap price rate.
This college is well known for its academic records. This college is educating people for more than sixty years with a reputation. First, it was the only college of commerce in south Kolkata. Gradually, it opened other branches of higher education and now offers honours in Bangla, Education, English, History and Political Science in Arts, and Economics and Geography in Science, along with honours in Accounting & Finance.
The placements of this college is average but people do get placements from this college.Companies like TCS, HDFC Bank, Wipro hires from our college. Average Salary offered two lacs per annum and the professors are really supportive and help us by informing about the placements
The average cost per year is 6000 to 8000.Basically this is a government college so the fees rate is really cheap.
Well, our college has the necessary infrastucture required for academic purposes. Classrooms are well accomodated . Teachers teach with projectors and all . The building especially the canteen and the bathroom is kept clean to ensure healthy environment .
I am studying B.com in Accountancy and Finance( Honours) for the last 2.5 years . The quality of teaching is good . Well the projects and assignments given to us are helpful for our development . I will not say what we studey makes us absolutely job ready but it starts the process .
Many institutions like TCS , Wipro , etc approach our college for placement. The placement activity is primarily managed by placement commitee including faculties from various departments . In the 2017-2018 about 30% of the total students participated were selected . Sorry I cannot say about the salary or about the interview because I have never been on the interview .
Our course cost Rs. 5000 approx per annum. Well for a graduation course it is a bit difficult to say that the course is worth of every penny spent but let's say that as a yes .
See the college campus has all kinds of facilities like well accomodated classrooms with proper ventilation, canteen and ground for playing football or cricket whichever is preferable. Our students union organises inter-college football matches. Annual sports is organised every year in Deshopriyo Park . It gets some time to get used to a new environment but when you get to know them it's bliss. The college campus is located in a safe secured region around Golpark .
No. That's all I could come up .
This college is having all the necessary infrastructural facilities and required equipments, the libraries and other sections of the colleges are kept clean from time to time. And the food from the canteen that we have is very good. It's great and comes at a reasonable price that tastes good.
Subject wise attendence is a must here, otherwise you'll be facing consequences related to the same. Teachers are good, they teach pretty well and are available for your doubt solving. Teachers are always available on time to take the classes.
Placement facility is actually great, but limited as per my analysis. You need to make it and take it up as a challenge. Legit competition exists. Companies like TCS is what most people get into. Other companies are also there if students are interested in them.
This college is definitely worth for money with the brand value it already has. I'm pursuing B.Com Honours and total cost of this course is around 16k.
Campus is pretty good again. You can play carrom, table tennis and such other games on your pass time.
It's good so far.
Decent but not upto the mark. Could have been better. Lots of areas to improve. Quality of classroom facilities need to be revamped to modern taste. Basic infrastructure is decent though. Canteen can be improved.
Mainly focuses on commerce field. Some of the teachers are very good. But classes were not held regularly during my time and attendance was a big issue. Hardly half the class went to college everyday.
Very poor placement support. Practically nil. No company comes for campussing. College should be much more proactive in training students focusing on jobs. Only teaching regular classes will not be enough.
Tuition fees are very less which is a good point.
Practically nil. Maximum initiatives are on behalf of students.
Decent college but could be much much better.
South City College has only one building which is 'U' shaped. It runs 3 colleges in the same building (Morning, Day and Evening). It has a canteen, two libraries (Central and Seminar), Girls Common Room, a very small field, IT labs, WiFi (Basically you cannot use it as it gives very less data). Infrastructure is simply what you get in a government college.
South City College is famous for its commerce department. Most of the teacher's provide quality education. The semester results of this college comes quite good and you will only get a supple if you don't study at all. But don't expect full marks in internal as teacher's purposely don't give.
Placements Cell of this college is more or less below average. Companies like TCS, Indigo etc visit for campus recruitment but hardly five or ten students are recruited finally. Some companies come with Internship opportunities every year. So don't expect anything big unless you study in a private college.
Though our Bcom(Hons) course was supposed to cost Rs 5640 every month but after first year they started taking fees semester wise for which we had to pay higher fees. They also charge higher semester examination fees than as mentioned in the Calcutta University payment slip.
The college has NCC, Football team, Cricket team etc and takes part in various tournaments. Teachers are friendly with students and you can approach them for any help. Ragging is strictly prohibited in this campus. This College is located in Golpark nears Ramakrishna Mission.
