Hi-Tech Institute of Technology (HIT) Bhubaneswar was set up in the year 2008 to cater the need of an affiliated college for conducting +2 Science,(stack with 2000+ students in campus)ITU &B. Ed. Courses. Recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), The HIT has a good number of engineering and management courses. The institute occupies a total area of 10 acres and it admitted a total of 1,115 students and there are 112 faculty members. HIT offers 13 courses in 4 degree programs; all engineering domains and management.

The institute is also blessed with adequate teaching facilities that will facilitate learning among its students. The hostel facilities in the institute include separate hostels for boys (400 seats) and girls (200 seats) featuring basic necessities such as round the clock water supply, power, internet facilities and recreational facilities. That said, the campus is equipped with a good library that has over 3000 titles and 25000 volumes enabling research activities. To summarise, HIT operates six large air-conditioned computer halls staffed with 350 Intel dual-core computers using several operating systems with the latest software to satisfy the technology freaks.

There is even provision of indoor games facilities for the hostellers as part of realization of their holistic development policy. There is also a health care facility for students in the compound and a sports field in form of a gym. HIT has a modern canteen easily capable of serving 400 students at one time which offers hygienic and nutritious vegetarian foods for its community.

These programs include but are not limited to undergraduate, postgraduate, Diploma and certification programs. This institute since its inception offers 4 B. Tech programs in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering. For postgraduate courses HIT has MBA, and 4 M.Tech Spects – Computer Science and Engineering, Power Electronics and Drives, and Structural Engineering, and VLSI and Embedded Systems. Further, the institute offers 3 diploma programs in Mechanical, Civil and Electrical Engineering. The total approved intake for all the courses combined is one thousand one hundred and fifteen for students.

The admission process at Hi-Tech Institute of Technology differs based on the program of the student. B.Tech courses admissions are done majorly through JEE Main and Odisha JEE ranks for this program. The institute follows the distribution of seats 75% through OJEE, 15% from AIEEE now known as JEE Main, whereas the rest 10% from JEE Main along with OJEE/AIEEE rank holder. To obtain admission in MBA, the candidate has to take the OJEE MBA entrance exam held by the Odisha Joint Entrance Exam Board. Admissions to M.Tech courses are offered after qualifying through the OJEE PGAT examination. The General Diploma courses take students according to their performance in the qualifying examination through e-counseling system on the Internet.
