The HIM Sirmour is an cosmopolitan management institute acknowledged in the year 2007. Established at Kala-Amb, Himachal Pradesh, this institute is co-educational, affiliated to the Himachal Pradesh Technical University and AICTE. The Himalayan Institute of Management offers two full-time courses: BBA: 40 seats for a duration of 3 years and MBA: 90 seats for a duration of 2 years. These programmes are intended to address the management education up to the post graduate levels of education. This has a total approved intake of 130 students for the two courses showing that the institute values its standard by ensuring that the classes are not over crowded.

The methods of the admission at HIM are intended for the nominations of the capable and motivated students. For the MBA programme, candidates must write entrance examination which includes CAT, CMAT or MAT. It also accepts the HP-MAT scores The HP-MAT score is accepted by this institute. The minimum passing marks in these entrance exams are 50% for general and OBC categories and 45% for SC/ST categories candidates. Or the candidates without entrance scores can apply with 60% (55% for SC/ ST) in their passing examination. The admission requirement to BBA programme is defined on merit. The HIM’s academic session is in concord with these national level entrance examinations so that there is no hitch to the admission of the students who want to take up management programmes.
