Located in the beautiful town of Kala-Amb of Sirmour district in Himachal Pradesh, Himalayan Polytechnic, Sirmour has been imparting technical education since 2008. One of the affiliated colleges of this university situated in Suketi Fossil Park Road have been training young generations to become future engineers for more than ten years. The institute offers a student enrolment of 95 and Faculty of 72 that makes the learning environment intimate with beautiful scenery encouraging academic progression.

The campus of Himalayan Polytechnic is full of a learning infrastructure that can assist the students to achieve their goal. The institute has got hostels for boys and girls in order to maintain discipline and homely environment the hostels are provided with necessary amenities and are staffed by residential wardens. They have ample ventilation in rooms, separate living room with cable TV- indoor games, basic amenities like water purifiers, generators. Delighted to the fans of sports there are many more outdoor games available on the campus like badminton, volley ball, basket ball, cricket etc. This speaks loud on its policy of the holistic development of students, the institute even provides a gymnasium for besides scholarly activities students need to tone their bodies periodically.

Himalayan Polytechnic has a faculty of offering seven specialisation diploma courses, grouped under a single degree. These full-time courses take three years to complete for each, and prepare students with trade knowledge and skills in their specialities. Their courses offered are Diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering and Automobile Engineering.
