Hindu College of Pharmacy, Guntur, was established in the year 1999. It is one of the prime institutions in pharmaceutical education not only in Andhra Pradesh, India, but in the whole state. This affiliated college is spread over a 3-acre campus and is situated at Amaravathi Road and recognised by the Pharmacy Council of India. The institute runs 5 degrees in twelve courses, offering all type of specialisations in pharmacy. Hindu College of Pharmacy has a great environment; it has a total student enrolment of 664 with a faculty strength of 48. 

The facilities provided in this institution are of international standard, with all the modern amenities to make the learning experience of its students an enriching one. A library with a rich repository of all pharmaceutical literature and research material is available at the college. There are modern instruments in the laboratories, providing the students with exposure to almost all aspects of pharmacy. Hindu College of Pharmacy offers various programmes in the filed of pharmacy ranging from bachelor's, master's, and doctorate to diploma courses. The institute offers a 100-seat B.Pharma flagship course, a core programme in pharmaceutical studies, and specialised M.Pharma programmes in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, and Pharmaceutical Analysis, each one with an intake of 15 students. The college also has Ph.D. programmes in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Analysis for those who are desirous of taking their research to the doctorate level. The college is also offering a D.Pharma course for 60 seats. The students aspiring to do their pharmacy at the diploma level can study this course here at this college. The college also has the Pharm.D and the Pharm.D Post Baccalaureate programmes. The latter has ten seats.

The entrance into this college is, therefore, a process aimed at realising its emphasis and admitting only the most promising candidates into various programmes. For the B.Pharma course, admission mainly comes down to the Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test, or AP EAMCET. Prospective candidates should pay heed to its deadlines and dates for the admission procedure. Admission to the postgrading courses, including M. Pharma, bases itself on the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test and Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (AP PGECET). These two entrance examinations will scrutinise whether the candidates possess the required aptitude and knowledge for detailed pharmaceutical studies.
