HKE Society's Dr Maalakaraddy Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Kalaburagi: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

The health care segment known as HKE Society was founded in 1980 and operates from its campus in Kalaburagi, Karnataka and the Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital is one of its brains and notable establishments. This affiliated college recognised by the Central Council of Homeopathy (CCH) present many homoeopathic programs in its vast area of 11 acres. The college of enrolment 486 students and has a faculty backup of 39 which is an advantage for the homoeopathic students. The institution provides 6 courses at 2 levels of homoeopathic degree courses and teach Materia medica, organon of medicine, repertory, practice of medicine and paediatric department.

The college has a number of special amenities that are intended to help students learn more effectively. A good number of books have been classified, arranged and stored in the library which is staffed by a qualified librarian The university avails e-books and e-journals through HELINET consortium of Digital Library at Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. The institution ensures that each department has its library to access a specialized collection of resources conveniently. Accommodating the in-patient practical activities is a 49 bedded in-patient department in the college hospital with all the equipment as recommended by the CCH. There are also well equipped laboratory facilities for each department where students get practical experience with in the subject that they are studying.

Dr. Maalakaraddy Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital of HKE Society is offering six fulltime courses in total. The flagship programme is the Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) having a total seat intake of one hundred. However, the college offers five post graduate courses of 3 years each, specialised in their own field. These are degree courses being MD in Homoeopathic Materia Medica, Organon of Medicine and Philosophy, Repertory, Practice of Medicine MD in Homoeopathic Paediatrics. 

The HKE Society’s Dr. Maalakaraddy Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital admits students by admitting them to the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). The BHMS programme requires NEET, while for other programs, students are allowed to pursue the programmes of their choice provided they passed the minimum percentage as has been established by the college.
