HM Training College, Muvattupuzha, established in 1994, is an affiliated college located in Ernakula District, Kerala. This is an institution approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and specialises in teacher education programmes. The college campus is on a compact 5-acre plot and offers three full-time courses with a total of 103 students. The institute has a faculty of 10 dedicated educators that make sure to give attention towards the students. The education college, HM Training College, is devoted towards an education future with specialisations that include B.Ed, M.Ed, and D.El.Ed for prospective teaching educators at different levels. 

It provide various facility provisions that enhance learning during time spent in college. The library is well-stocked with 6,897 books including exclusive titles on different subjects, educational journals and periodicals. Broad access to educational material can be realised through use of internet connected spacious computer rooms, which would enable a student population to achieve beyond the realms of ordinary students. Accommodation for students Girls and Boys' hostels, having accommodation separate for girls and boys, who stay as outstation students. Gymnasium facility available for use by all students. HM Training College campus has modern laboratories for the subjects of Microbiology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Fermentation Technology that would provide a lot of practical learning opportunities. Other facilities include an auditorium for events and seminars, a health centre with first-aid facilities, guest rooms for visiting faculty and family members, and ample parking space. 

HM Training College provides three full-time courses in teacher education. It offers B.Ed under its flag programme, wherein 100 students can sit in and be trained as a teacher in secondary schools. Then, it is followed by M.Ed. It has 50 seats where people require sophisticated knowledge and are working in the positions of leadership in the institution of learning. The last is D.El.Ed with an intake capacity of 50 seats which is for aspiring elementary teachers. 

Merit-based admission is made by the HM Training College with marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance exam according to the policies laid by the state government, UT administration, and the university for admission to the B.Ed programme . Admissions are done strictly on the basis of merit obtained by the candidate in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The M.Ed programme also follows a similar pattern, with greater stress on any other selection process as per government or university guidelines. Admission procedure for D.El.Ed strictly adheres to the merit list.
