Minority College of Education was established of 2002 and it is affirmative college situated at Khammam of Telangana region. National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has approved this co-educational institution for maintaining the quality standards in teacher education. The college that is housed in a relatively small piece of ground of 1.53 acres offers only two full time courses, both in education and taking a total of 150 students. The institute currently has 8 faculty members on its panel and has been successful in providing a healthy student teacher ratio. Holy Faith Minority College of Education has the vision to be successful in producing professional teachers through its concentrated course in B. Ed and D. El. Ed.
The college offers variety of services to accommodate the academic and own students’ needs. The library also plays an important role of resource centre where books and materials pertinent to educationist is displayed. The institution boasts of adequately equipped laboratories; Mathematics multipurpose lab, Science and Mathematics Lab, Psychology Lab, Computer Lab, Educational Technology Lab. Holy Faith Minority College of Education presents two main courses in the area of call education. The B.Ed programme is approved for one hundred intake of students and the D.El.Ed programme has a thirty intake of students. They are both full time, though the duration of studies is two year in each of the courses. They are intended to provide learners with knowledge and practical skills that enable them to work as teachers at different levels in school systems. It is in these two core programmes that the college is able to provide professional focus for teacher training, readying graduates for the complexities of the current classroom.
The admission criteria of Holy Faith Minority College of Education is the mark scored in the qualifying examination and/or entrance test. For the B.Ed programme admissions are done following the rules and regulations of the state government, UT Administration and the university to which the college is affiliated to. In similar manner the D.El.Ed also follow the process with respect to state government or UT Administration norms.
