The programs offered in this affiliated college reflect the various branches of engineering as follows. The campus of HKCET extends to a vast area of 13 acres that ensures provision for all the infrastructure facilities meeting a proper ambience for academic achievement and personality development. The institution has a qualified teaching staff of 58 hard-working and dedicated staff to KUCC’s students and faculty. HKCET is a private university that offers 7 courses in two degree programmes; Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering-Computer Science and Engineering Electronics and Communications Engineering.
The college also understands the need to offer learning facilities that are technological to support the learning exercise of students. HKCET has a three storied central library of 4500 sft with 10500+ books of which 3000+ are latest reference books and more than 35 standard journals subscriptions. The college provides sufficient number of laboratories for the departments of engineering education with state of the art instruments, software’s including efficient and professional instrumentation system.
HKCET has a total of seven courses with five B.Tech courses and two M.Tech courses. The B.Tech programmes include the Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, electronics and communication Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering. At the postgraduate level the college is offering Master of Technology in Industrial Instrumentation and Control and Structural Engineering and Construction Management. All these programs are full time courses which are aimed at preparing students, to have intensive knowledge and a variety of skills in their lines of specialization. The seats approved by the university for the B.Tech programmes are between thirty and one-twenty intake per course and each M.Tech programme has a intake capacity of 24 seats.
The admission process for the B.Tech programmes is the Kerala Engineering Architecture & Medical Examination (KEAM) for admission while M.Tech admissions have GATE scores considered. Such exams help to pass fair and competitive selections and help prepare for the exams themselves. The college is also in a position to accept both male and female candidates thus embraces both genders making it co – educational institution. This was so because information regarding specific dates of admission are not normally revealed but the students are expected to be familiar with KEAM and GATE examinations.

Holy Kings College of Engineering and Technology (HKCET), Ernakulam, provides various engineering courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The admission procedure at HKCET is structured to choose merit students based on competitive entrance exams. Admissions are given to B.Tech courses based on Kerala Engineering Architecture & Medical Examination (KEAM), whereas admissions to M.Tech are based on Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) scores.
For B.Tech programs, the candidates should have 10+2 or equivalent with Maths, Chemistry, and Physics as mandatory subjects. For M.Tech programs, a B.E./B.Tech degree in the relevant field is preferred with the rider that they should have a valid GATE score.
KEAM tests the aspirants in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and checks their conceptual knowledge and problem-solving abilities in these subjects. GATE tests the aspirants in their respective field of engineering. The candidates are requested to prepare themselves accordingly for these tests by studying the recommended syllabus and attempting question papers of the previous years.
