HPPC Government First Grade College, Challakere: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

The affiliated HPPC Government First Grade College, Challakere, Chitradurga District of Karnataka State was started in the year 1969. This is a government established university situated on 33 acre campus and provides good mix of undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Approved by the NAAC, the college is part of a university and has a total of 2260 students and total faculty of 167 members. HPPC Government First Grade College has 16 courses under 6 degree programs including arts, commerce management and sciences.

To enhance its academic setting, the college has individually provided amenities. The HPPC Library and Information Centre is in a single story building with thirty eight thousand five hundred and seventy one research books, research journals, e-books and e-journals. It is Internet enabled with LAN, broad band connection and UGC-INFLIBNET N LIST facility available in the college. For the sports lovers, the college affords full opportunities out door facility plays like football ground, volley ball, basketball space and 400 meters track. There is also two computer labs equipped with 52 Desks tops and internet connection to meet the techno logy needs of students.

This college has a total of 8 courses in its purview out of which some are postgraduate and some are undergraduate courses. The undergraduate programmes are as diverse as BA., B.Com, B.Sc., and BBA respectively, the postgraduate programmes offered are MA. of different subjects and M.Com. Every course offered is a full time, regular course of study aimed at affording balanced training in a particular branch of learning. 

Despite the fact that it is a government college, the admission process at HPPC Government First Grade College is highly competitive, based mostly on academic achievements of the candidates in the entry examination. For the BA course the candidates are admitted according to their performance in the previous qualifying examination.
