The Ideal Law College with a focus on creating its universe of humanitarianism in law education in the state of Maharashtra. The college is considered one of the best law colleges in India. Selection for some law programmes occurs through an eligibility-based admission process. Admission to Ideal College of Law is based on the merit of Maharashtra Common Entrance Test Law, an entrance test and examination at the state level for admission into various law courses in Maharashtra.
From one course to another, the eligibility criteria related to the Ideal College of Law will vary. For an applicant to pursue a degree in LLB, he/she should possess either a bachelor's degree with any relevant stream degree or a recognised degree. An applicant into the BA LLB integrated programme should have completed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognised board. MHCET Law is needed most for the admission process as it checks the aspirants' preparedness to study law. MHCET Law tests legal aptitude, logical reasoning, and general knowledge, among other areas of knowledge.
Ideal College of Law, Palghar shall carry out the admission process through the MHCET Law Examination, which has the following components:
The admission tests are availed online and are one of the few instruments in a student's hand to secure an admission for that school academic year to undertake law programmes in the college.
Ideal College of Law offers a three-year LLB course with an ordinary intake of 180 seats. Admission into the LLB course should be based on merit determined by the MHCET Law entrance examination. Such candidates seeking admission must have a bachelor's degree in any of the streams from a recognised university. Merit shall be based upon the MHCET Law scores, in conjunction with other eligibility requirements stipulated by the college.
The close institutions likewise offer a 5-year integrated BA LLB Degree, essentially with the approval of 60 seats for students qualifying from 10+2 or an equivalent. This is for applicants who will earn a BA at the same time as an LLB. Admission will entirely depend on the merit of MHCET Law.
Usually, the admission programme of Ideal College of Law runs concurrently with the schedule of MHCET Law. The applications for MHCET Law 2025 shall commence on 27 December 2024, ending on 27 January 2025.
