The Ideal Law College with a focus on creating its universe of humanitarianism in law education in the state of Maharashtra. The college is considered one of the best law colleges in India. Selection for some law programmes occurs through an eligibility-based admission process. Admission to Ideal College of Law is based on the merit of Maharashtra Common Entrance Test Law, an entrance test and examination at the state level for admission into various law courses in Maharashtra. 

From one course to another, the eligibility criteria related to the Ideal College of Law will vary. For an applicant to pursue a degree in LLB, he/she should possess either a bachelor's degree with any relevant stream degree or a recognised degree. An applicant into the BA LLB integrated programme should have completed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognised board. MHCET Law is needed most for the admission process as it checks the aspirants' preparedness to study law. MHCET Law tests legal aptitude, logical reasoning, and general knowledge, among other areas of knowledge.

Ideal Law College Application Process

Ideal College of Law, Palghar shall carry out the admission process through the MHCET Law Examination, which has the following components:

  • Application for MHCET Law: Candidates should first fill out the prescribed examination application form available on its official website. The application for the next academic session shall start from December 27, 2024, and will end on January 27, 2025.
  • Entrance Test: Along with its sections of legal aptitude, logical reasoning, and general knowledge, the specific date will be indicated when applicants will sit for MHCET Law.
  • Results and Counseling: Hence, counselling will take place for those candidates who emerged successfully in the MHCET Law results.
  • College Application: Candidates fulfilling all requirements successfully would then either apply to Ideal College of Law, Palghar through the centralised admission process or as prescribed by the college.
  • Document Verification: The document verification process shall clearly state which documents to submit. Those, in general, would include:
  • Admission Confirmation: Admission will depend on the MHCET Law score and document verification depending upon the availability of seats.
  • Payment of Fees: After selection, students must pay the admission fee within the period stipulated in order to secure their seats.

Ideal College of Law offers a three-year LLB course with an ordinary intake of 180 seats. Admission into the LLB course should be based on merit determined by the MHCET Law entrance examination. Such candidates seeking admission must have a bachelor's degree in any of the streams from a recognised university. Merit shall be based upon the MHCET Law scores, in conjunction with other eligibility requirements stipulated by the college.

Ideal Law College Degree-wise Admission Process

The close institutions likewise offer a 5-year integrated BA LLB Degree, essentially with the approval of 60 seats for students qualifying from 10+2 or an equivalent. This is for applicants who will earn a BA at the same time as an LLB. Admission will entirely depend on the merit of MHCET Law.
