Ideal College of Pharmacy, Thane (ICP) is a private college which was set up in 2006 majoring in the fields of pharmacy. This affiliated college is located in Kalyan, Maharashtra and they have gained reputation for the courses in pharmacy. Approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), ICP offers two full-time courses: B.Pharma and D.Pharma. The campus is of 0.75acre in area and the total intake capacity of the campus is 120 students and the faculty members are 7 teacher. One aspect of the identity of ICP is its determination towards the quality of pharmacy education as reflected in the area of its focus its course offerings and in the facilities that it offers its students for the achievement of their successful practice in the industry. 

Ideal College of Pharmacy offers a variety of facilities in order to support the student for a better study. This serves as Learning Resource Centre, with over 3000 books, 10 print national and international journals and CDs & DVDs on various subjects. Modern labs of Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Human Anatomy & Physiology and Pharmacognosy enable learners to learn practical aspects and research ideas. The IT infrastructure consists of an air conditioned computer laboratory which is fitted with thirty internet enabled computers. For your benefit and welfare the school provides very large cafeteria with clean and healthy foods, complete gym and many kinds of sporting equipments. For instance, in the organisation and management of transport facilities, the college offers transport services for both students and staff, and hence keeping access to the college central easy and convenient. 

Ideal College of Pharmacy located at Thane offers a total of two course which are full time course. The institute offers only one undergraduate programme named B.Pharma and a diploma programme of D.Pharma. The B.Pharma programme is a four years course, on the other hand the D.Pharma programme is of two years duration. Each course has an approved enrolment capacity of sixty students making the total enrolment capacity for all programmes to be one hundred and twenty. Thus, the proposed focus guarantees the increased number of students and high admission rate maintaining the student-to-faculty ratio and providing the quality of education in the field of pharmacy in the institute. 

Ideal college of Pharmacy Thane admitted most of its students based on scores and grades that the students attained. In respect of D.Pharma programme intake, the selected candidates is purely merit based and combined merit list prepared taking into consideration the percentage of marks obtained in the Qualifying exam (Std XII). Entrance is done according to this merit list depending on the availability of space according to the norms specified in the rules. For both D.Pharma and B.Pharma admission the college takes into considerations with the previous academic records of the students. For admission in this institute all the students who fulfill the above mention criteria are bound to fill their admission form themselves. As for the exact dates when the exam is held the information is absent, but the prospective students are encouraged to go to the college’s website or call the admission office to get the updated information about the application deadlines and the date when the prospective students will be admitted. So far as admission is concerned the college does not make any call on the conducted entrance examinations for admission stressing that students are admitted based on their performance in the qualifying exams.
