Idhaya Engineering College for Women, Villupuram: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Idhaya Engineering College for Women (IECW) was founded in 2001 and is situated in Chinnasalem, Tamil Nadu. This is women college affiliated with the Anna University approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), and accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Located on a vast land of 30.4 acres, IECW provides six programmes under two degree programmes consisting of several engineering branches. at present, the college has a total number of 370 students and 53 members of teaching staff, thus making the size of classes as well as student-faculty ratio optimal for actual learning.

IECW has many of the trappings of a modern college and learning facilities that can help students to learn better. The college library is 2500 sq. ft. and contains more than 24500 document in science engineering and technology stream. It has subscribed to DELNET-IESTC e-journals that means students can go through the latest, published articles and other academic resources. The campus has modern labs for each departments which includes Basic Electronics and Digital Signal Processing labs, Linear Integrated Circuit and VLSI labs and etc. It has also provided fully wireless campus. At the college level, high speed internet facility is available by eight high servers in LAN which make a proper digital environment available.

The institute provides a total number of 6 courses, out of which four courses are designated as an undergraduate courses and other two courses are postgraduate-PG courses. All courses are full time, regular programmes. The combined total of all classes is set at 276 for total student enrolment with 240 being offered for undergraduate programmes and 36 for postgraduate programmes.

The admission process in IECW is made systematic and fair. In general, the engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu admit students on the basis of marks obtained in the state or national level entrance exam. The college also provides scholarship for students to worthy students who wish to pursue their studies. The courses offered are BE in Computer Science and Engineering, B.Tech Information Technology, BE in Electronics and Communication, Electrical and Electronics, ME in Communication Systems and Computer Science and Engineering.
