ICE or the Imayam College of Engineering is a new generation educational institution that was established in the year 2009 and is situated in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu. This affiliated college has been approved by the AICTE and houses itself in a vast area of 11.9 acres, with various branches in engineering streams. ICE has an intake capacity student strength of 525 and faculty strength of 74 to support a qualitative environment for studies. In the college, the students can find 8 undergraduate engineering programmes all which are under the degree of Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in various unique areas of engineering such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Cyber Security.

 Imayam College of Engineering has common facilities geared towards improving the learning experience which include; The college library currently boasts of over 50000 books, 60 journals and other information resources in the form of other information technology gadgets with information at the disposal of the students. For students, who live in the campus, facilities of ‘hostels’ for boys and girls respectively provide adequate accommodation with all necessary facilities. The college pays importance to health and there is a gymnasium in the college along with sports ground as well which is having indoor and outdoor sports facility. A central computing area provides modern requirements for a computing center including 350 best systems ready for the students’ learning and work.

The institute has a total of 7 full time BE courses to meet the need for engineering specialization for its students. In the group of engineering programmes, there are Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, and Cyber Security. The proposed total number of admission capacity for all the courses respectively is 525 with course load varying from 30 to 60 intakes. It has made it possible for students to make choices on specialisations that meets their desire careers.

Admission process at Imayam College of Engineering is easy and follows a policy of merit based system. However, the details on the admission procedure are not given; nonetheless, it is a tradition that engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu have a look at the results of the entrance examination at the state/national level. The college accepts the TNEA score simply because this is the most common examination to get admission to any engineering college in Tamil Nadu.
