Indian Institute of Carpet Technology, Bhadohi is a centrally funded technical institute under the Ministry of Textiles under the Government of India and was established in 2001. IICT Bhadohi courses are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). The college is affiliated with Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow.
The courses include a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Carpet and Textile Technology which is a four-year full-time undergraduate programme. IICT Bhadohi admissions to B.Tech programmes are done based on scores obtained by the candidate in JEE Main or UPCET. For the All India Quota, candidates must qualify for the JEE Main examination and attend the JoSAA and CSAB counselling process.
For the UP State Quota, candidates must qualify for UPCET and attend the AKTU Lucknow counselling process. The final step of the Indian Institute of Carpet Technology admission process is document verification and fee payment. Indian Institute of Carpet Technology Bhadohi is the only college in Asia that has a carpet and textile branch. The faculty of the college is very knowledgeable and friendly.
