Indian Institute of Education, Pune is an autonomous research institute with National and International recognition. The institute is supported by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) and was established in 1976. The Institute is  recognised by the Government of Maharashtra and affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune.  The institute offers Doctoral and post-graduation courses. IIE Pune admissions are offered in M.Phil and Ph.D courses. Candidates seeking admission in the institute need to satisfy the IIE Pune eligibility criteria. 

Candidates interested in the Ph.D and M.Phil programs offered by IIE Pune must take the relevant examination. For the Ph.D. programme, candidates need to clear the UGC NET examination.  For the M.Phil programme, candidates need to take the university entrance test or entrance examination conducted by the IIE Pune. The IIE Pune admissions are determined based on the scores secured in the entrance examination and the candidates performance in the past academics. The institute offers multiple facilities to the students and the staff.  IIE Pune facilities are a separate hostel facilities, library, seminar hall with a capacity of 60 persons, cafeteria and other facilities.
