IIITV-ICD is a branch campus of Indian Institute of Information Technology, Vadodara (IIITV), an institute of National Importance by an Act of Parliament. IIITV-ICD was established in 2020 at the Education Hub, Kevdi – Diu under a partnership with the Government of Dadar & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu (UT Administration of DNH & DD). The institute is set to admit its first batch of undergraduate students from Academic Year 2020-2021. IIITV-ICD has been accommodated in the state of art campus of Education Hub at Diu. The Educational Hub is spread over 25 acres of land.
Currently, IIITV-ICD offers Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering for interested candidates through JEE MAIN entrance exam. The objective of the Educational Hub includes providing quality education at the highest standards and stimulating the learning environment with their state-of-the-art infrastructural facilities to its students. It also aims to provide the latest computing-related skills to its students and prepare them to be young professionals when graduating and seeking job opportunities. Overall, even though IIITV-ICD is a new and young institute, it is set to commence its first batch of students with its fully equipped latest facilities.
IIITV-IDC is located in the Education Hub, Kevdi – Diu (UT), and one can travel to the campus by air, train, bus, or private vehicles as per their choice. The ways to travel and the distance are given below.
1. For those coming from other states, they can travel by air to Diu Airport, which is only 2.5 km from the campus.
2. By train, Delwada is only 9 km away from the campus, whereas Somnath is approximately 90 km from the campus.
3. One can travel by Volvo buses to Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Surat etc.
The institute displays up to date news and information regarding the institution on their official website from time to time. The latest news and updates in IIITV-ICD are-
1. The institute signed MOU with IIIT Vadodara in October 2020.
2. On 7th October 2020, the institute delayed the mode of teaching and learning to its first batch of B. Tech. students due to the pandemic.
3. Orientation cum Induction Program for New Entrants was announced by the institute for its students.
4. The institute released Covid-19 Pandemic Delayed Response in December 2020.
5. A senate meeting was held in September 2020.
The institute has just been established and has not been recognized yet. However, it is soon to be recognized in the coming years.
As a new technical institute, IIITV-ICD has not made collaborations with various institutes and organizations yet. However, an MOU has been signed between the UT Administration of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu. The institute hopes to collaborate with various institutes and organizations in the future.
The institute is equipped with well infrastructural facilities even though it is a new institute. The facilities are set up to cater to the educational and basic needs of students and staff so that they have a great experience during their academic study at the institute. At present, the institute offers hostel accommodations and a library. The details are given below.
Hostel: The institute offers separate hostel accommodation for boys and girls. Currently, some of the hostel rooms are under construction and ready to move in once completed. Students will be provided 24/7 internet connectivity and recreational areas, along with mess facilities for breakfast, lunch, tea, and dinner.
Library: The library is digitalized and equipped with computers to make books and journal searches. The institute will be adding more books and journals published in the coming years. Students can enjoy the library facilities to enhance their academic knowledge and beyond.

B. Tech. admissions for the academic year 2020-2021 is completed in IIITV-ICD. The institute aims to introduce more courses in the future. The admission for B. Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering takes place through JEE MAIN entrance exam, followed by JoSAA/CSAB counselling. The placement for IIITV is 100% whereas, for IIITV-ICD, placement information is unavailable since it is a new institute with its first batch that will graduate in 2024. For IIITV, placements were made by companies such as Amazon, Siemens, Sigmoid, MathWorks, International Firms, and many more top companies. The placement in IIITV-ICD is believed to be similar to IIITV in the future since they function as one but in different campuses.

Indian Institute of Information Technology, Vadodara-International Campus Diu (IIITV-ICD), founded in 2020, does not provide scholarships on behalf of the institute to its students. However, students can apply for various state and central government scholarships to get financial assistance or support. There are separate scholarships provided for students belonging to SC/ST or economically weaker sections from the State or Central government. Apart from these, scholarships are also offered based on merit or academic performance through merit cum means scholarship by the state/central government to outstanding academic performers.

Especially for engineering students, scholarships are important to provide support to potential students with financial problems. For this purpose, the state and central government has been providing various scholarships to eligible students to support students in their academic studies. Students should pay attention to the eligibility criteria required by the provider. For SC/ST scholarships, students must be from the SC/ST category, and their family income should not exceed Rs 4.5 lakh per annum. As for the merit-based scholarships, students will be required to meet a certain score to be eligible to receive the benefits. Students can also avail educational loans from trusted and well-known banks at a low-interest rate.
IIITV-ICD was established in 2020, and currently, the institute offers only Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech.) in Computer Science and Engineering course, which is of four years duration. Admissions to B. Tech. is made based on JEE Main entrance exam, along with JoSAA or CSAB counselling. Interested candidates from different places can apply for B.
