The infrastructure is good with Wi-Fi in the entire campus. Classrooms have AC, projectors etc. The quality of rooms is really good. The quality of food is decent with the facility of a night mess. The hostel rooms are good with the option of single as well as double rooms available. The infrastructure is good.
The course curriculum is good and also very hectic with a trimester system. There are some really good faculty members and some average ones also. So, the overall standard of faculty members is average. Student to faculty ratio is 5:1. Industry exposure is average.
The placements of our batch were good with over 90 companies coming to the campus. All the students were placed. The highest package was 18 LPA and the lowest was 6 LPA. The companies which visited varied from IT, consulting, market research, insurance sales, finance etc. The profiles varied from IT consulting, analyst, investment banking, sales and marketing etc.
The infrastructure was very good but not in line to the cost of living of a city like Bhubaneswar. Wi-Fi was available all the time except for few fluctuations. Classrooms were conducive which pull the proper attention of students. The library had a variety of plentiful books available. Medical facilities were not there inside the campus except for a doctor visit. However, outside, a hospital was nearby.
Faculty members were very knowledgeable and the course curriculum was adequate. Their understanding of the course was very good and everything was properly planned. So, most of them taught the course properly and the curriculum was successfully adapted by all the students without any difficulty.
Placements were very good for our batch and our seniors as well. The highest was 25 lakhs and the lowest was somewhere around 7 lakhs. Everyone got placed except one or two. The average salary offered was around 12 lakhs. I am not sure of the numbers exactly though. Very good companies visited the campus and mostly consulting, sales and marketing roles were offered with diverse profiles in finance as well.
The campus is good and has facilities like gym, cafe, good internet connectivity, lots of greenery, running track, BB ground, Tennis Court, and night mess. The campus is not huge but sufficient for a good quality life. Labs and classrooms are air-state of the art level with AC. Food is great both at the canteen and outside the canteen. The hostel rooms are well furnished and have proper lighting. I didn't face any infrastructural hurdles. Campus as a whole is awesome. Almost everything is available on the 20-acre campus. None can miss appreciating the greenery inside.
Faculty of IITTM is top class as all of them are PhDs or pursuing PhDs. The knowledge level is great. Modern teaching methods like ppt are used. Student to faculty ratio is 1:10. I got enough industry exposure by assignments given by faculty where I had to interact with industry people. The curriculum was pretty useful owing to the industry-centric approach.
The college has 100% placements leaving opportunities for everyone. Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneshwar witnessed another fruitful summer internship placement with over 80 organisations visiting the campus. Apart from the regular recruiters, which XIMB has always cherished, various new and emerging market leaders have also participated and offered coveted profiles to the MBA-BM and MBA-HRM students over a variety of domains. The highest stipend was Rs. 1.8 lakhs. The average was Rs. 70,000.
The Wi-Fi connectivity in hostel rooms as well as in class rooms is quite fine. The library facility is also good only weak part that can be improved is automation in library facilities rather than manual methods. The classroom infrastructure is very good and the auditorium is good enough to conduct official events. For extra curricular activities, a gym, a tennis court, a basketball court, badminton courts etc are there. For food facility, along with the official mess, one more cafe and one tea stall kind of store is there. So you can get all kinds of food from sandwich to dosa to green tea to a normal meal.
Faculty members in finance and marketing are high class. The course curriculum is pretty good while for some of the subjects, it can be improved as per the events going on around. Some practical sessions can be included to make it more meaningful. For example, digital marketing practical sessions.
90-92% placed during the placement week but during the later part of the year, the placement stood at 100%. The highest domestic package will be 23 lakhs around and the average lies around 12-13 lakhs. Companies from different sectors visited both for the internship and placements and to name a few, Godrej, Axis Bank, HSBC Bank, Nestle, Infosys, TCS, Cognizant, Wipro, Deloitte, E&Y, PWC etc.
Infrastructure is pretty good. The WiFi is pretty good and a lifeline of MBA institutes. The classrooms are pretty awesome. The quality of food is okay. Labs and libraries are okay. Hostel rooms are pretty ordinary. I haven't faced any issue regarding the infrastructure in my tenure.
Faculty of the institute is highly qualified. They were very helpful. Faculty members in the finance department are particularly very good. Student to faculty ratio is 40:1. The course curriculum is okay. Industry expose is not much. Teaching methods were good and up to the mark with current trends.
The placements were average in our batch with an average package of around 9lakhs. 99% of the students got placed in our batch. The highest salary offered was 20 lakhs and the lowest salary was 6 lakhs. The average salary was about 9 lakhs. Companies visited from various sector like IT, banking, consulting firms, auditing firms, telecom sector, automobile sector, FMCG sector, Retail sector etc.
The infrastructure of IITTM includes air-conditioned classrooms, Wi-Fi access, and well-equipped labs. The library offers a comprehensive range of academic resources. Hostel rooms are spacious and well-ventilated, albeit without A/C. The mess provides satisfactory food options, and the campus features excellent sports facilities like tennis and basketball courts. Medical services are available for emergencies.
Teachers were supportive mentors, sharing valuable industry insights and fostering a conducive learning environment. The curriculum is forward-thinking, preparing us with cutting-edge knowledge and skills. Semester exams are challenging assessment of our analytical abilities. The pass percentage encourages academic rigour and thorough preparation.
MBA batch of 2023, 90% of students were placed. The highest package was u20b912 LPA, the lowest was u20b94 LPA, and the average package was u20b98 LPA. Top recruiters included The Wire and Adfactors PR. Around 70% of students secured internships with these companies. Top roles offered were Journalism, PR Executive, and Content Creator. I have been placed at Wipro.
IITTM facilities and infrastructure are of top class and students have easy access to Wi-Fi. Library of IITTM is one of the best libraries of top b schools. I will prefer everyone to do MBA from this top b school. Whereas hostel is also good and campus life of IITTM is really good!
Teachers and all the faculty were helpful. Every professor of IITTM is highly educated and knowledgeable. To have an admission and learning from such professors is no less than a dream come true. And course curriculum is really sufficient to excel the subject and makes the students ready for corporate growth and success in their life.
Almost all students were placed during my time. And the highest CTC was more than 40 Lacs whereas the lowest was around 12 Lacs. There were many leading companies such as Amazon, Accenture, Deloitte, Wipro ltd, etc. Almost every student got an internship in top companies.
There is a huge playground in college for playing cricket and football. A volleyball court is available with all the facilities, and there is a garden with good seating facilities. There are indoor game rooms to play carrom board, billiards, table tennis, chess, etc. A hostel is available, and they also provide a mess facility at low prices. Canteen facilities are available inside the college. The library is equipped with enough books which will fulfil your knowledge requirements
There are special faculty members in college for all the subjects like MICE, itinerary planning and costing, accountancy, French, research methodology, hotel and hoteliering, history, geography, principal of management, and business communication, etc.
The college provides 100% placements to all the eligible students. There are lots of opportunities with the options of inbound DMC, outbound DMC, MICE, and logistics, etc. Students need to do a 2-month internship to be eligible for placements, and those internships are provided by the college itself. Companies like FCM, Thomas Cook, Cox and Kings, and Travel Triangle, etc., visit the campus for placements.
This college has a 27-acre campus with the state of art facility. An auditorium with a capacity of 500 people. Fully air-conditioned auditorium. There is a garden all around. The classes are equipped with the projectors, best travel library in India. There is a ground for football and cricket. Volleyball court, pool table for the students.
All the faculty members in the institute are very knowledgeable. Maximum of the faculty is PhD. in their subject. Remaining are pursuing. Mostly, teachers are working with ministry project and tourism state boards of India. All the faculty are very good in behaviour and always motivate the student.
This institution always has 100% of the placements on the campus. Every student gets placed as they wanted. Even if any student doesn't like the job, or the job is not as they wanted, the placement head helps you to get the new job. The companies all over India come for the placement. Every sector of tourism is covered like mice, inbound, outbout, rural tourism, adventure companies, etc.
The college provides all the amenities like well-furnished classrooms, well-equipped library, sports complex, conference hall etc. The college has an in-house hostel facility for boys and girls. The girls' hostel building was a new one, and all the rooms were fully furnished.
Previously, the college offered three courses, however, now it's confined to one, i.e., MBA (travel and tourism). The faculty are very qualified, helpful and knowledgeable. They provide their utmost support to students in all aspects. Industry experts visit our college frequently and give us an overview of the working procedure of the travel sector in the market.
The college placement cell was efficient enough to place the students. Approximately, 90% placement was recorded. Students got placed in companies like Thomas Cook, Yatra. Com, MakeMyTrip, Tamarind, Goibibo etc. For internships, the institute has a tie-up with Thomas Cook India and all the students offered internships at various branches all over India. Roles were of operations, sales, outbound tours, domestic, flights etc.
Hello,
Hosting a TV show you mentioned that one should have a degree in any of the two Production / Direction / TV Journalism / Mass Communication / TV Anchoring and / or experience as a person on the air / hosted with knowledge of the field in which they will be hosted - food, entertainment, nightlife, sightseeing , etc. and it should be powerful, outgoing, passionate, and fun (in a good sense of humor!).
It should express excitement and interest in the places you “find and share” with TV viewers.
The job of a TV anchor is to strike a quick relationship with their audience
So You can pursue journalism and Anchoring.
