The Indian Statistical Institute Pune, also known as ISI Pune, is one of the premier institutions of India focused primarily on statistical science and its applications. This affiliated college was founded in 1964 and has been one of the leading trainers and researchers in statistics for the past five and a half decades. Situated in one of India’s most progressive cities, Pune, in the state of Maharashtra, the institute has a narrow speciality in statistical sciences. The institute currently offers 21 degree programmes: a Bachelor of Statistics (B.Stat) and a Master of Statistics (M.Stat) that cut across the stage of undergrad and postgraduate levels.
ISI Pune also aims at providing a quality learning environment, appropriate accommodation, and other facilities to the students. The institute also possesses a well-stocked library with abundant literary material and statistical resources to cater to the needs of both students and faculty members. Nevertheless, to support theoretical knowledge, the college has a departmental laboratory to enhance every student’s ability to apply the knowledge gained. The continual shifting of focus towards adopting technology in oversampling and other statistical computations has, however, not left ISI Pune wanting when it comes to present-generation IT equipment that students can work with. The college also offers resourceful classrooms that are ideal for learning and almost everyone’s type of teaching style.
In the same way, also realising the significance of student life balance, ISI Pune is enriched with sports facilities for the physical health of the students along with their academic health. Indian Statistical Institute, Centre Pune, is committed to providing quality education in statistical sciences through its 21 full-time courses. The B.Stat programme spans three years and equips students with tools of statistical theory and exposure to real-world applications. The M.Stat programme, a two-year course, assists more involved learners who are interested in innovative statistical ideas and techniques.
