Indira Gandhi college of Special Education, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu is one of the specialized colleges specifically styled and designed to produce talented educators in the field of special education. Recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), the college lays a special emphasis on special education courses. This proposal deals with Indira Gandhi College of Special Education is basically involved with providing education in the special education field. As of now, the institute has only one FULL-TIME Course, which is Bachelors of Education (B.Ed). This is a two-year program, the aim of which is to prepare students for the profession of the special educator. The college maintains a student intake of 50 in a year, in order that the college can be able to give attention to each individual that is enrolled unto the college in as much time as possible, thus the quality output of each student. This has advantage of focusing on certain aspects of education allowing the institute to maintain high standards especially in its field of specialty.
