Indira Gandhi Rajkeeya Degree College, Unnao was established in 1988, which is an affiliated college, located at Bangarmau in the district of Uttar Pradesh on the Kanpur Hardoi State Highway. The college has catered to the academic needs of the district for over three decades. The campus is vast, extending to 12 acres and has much scope for both the academic and co-curricular activities. The college has a strength of 435 students and a faculty strength of 12; thus, it holds a very conducive student-teacher ratio that will enable personalized attention towards each student. The institution offers 6 courses in 4 different degree programs to cater to diverse interests and professional pursuits of students. 

The college ensures a healthy environment of learning and arranges facilities for students which are of modern standards to enable all-round development. The college has three full-time programs that include: BA, B.Sc, and B.Com; all take three years. The institute admits three full-time postgraduate programs for those students who are in pursuit of advanced studies: MA in Hindi, Economics and Sociology, each lasting two years. All six courses will be full time regular programmes, hence, ensuring the depth of learning as well as toughness of academic activities.
