Indira Priyadarshini Government Degree College is for Women, Medak district was established in the year 2008 is one of the premier institutions in the state of Telangana especially for Women Education. This is a government college in Nampally of Hyderabad where many general degree courses in various streams are taught for the undergraduate students. The college occupies a total of 5 acres of land which is conducive to students’ learning environment. The institution currently serves 133 students through 4 employed educators, as of the opening day. With 40 courses spread across 4-degree programmes, the college focuses on the three major fields, Arts, Commerce, and Science, to meet the educational requirements of women in the region.

Indira Priyadarshini Government Degree College is aim to deliver overall learning environment to the students by providing available and improved infrastructures. The library also acts as information centre providing students with different materials to help them in their course work. In development and recreation, the college has sports facilities containing an encouraging message to students on the need to balance their academic time with other activities such as sports. A hall on the compound also as an auditorium to conducts various activities, seminars, and cultural events thus enhancing a rich campus life. Thus, the college provides departmental laboratories for students to perform experiments in the corresponding classes.

Currently, the college offers 40 courses under Arts, Commerce Stream and Science faculties. Some of them are different combined BA degrees, B.Com with Computer Applications, several B.Sc courses offered with variations in subjects offered. The college also provides a BBA programme for the students who wants to take up business administration. It enables students to pick an extremely diverse type of orientation with regards to specialisations they desire to achieve.
