Like B.Ed., D.El.Ed. is based on merit as reflected through qualifying examination and/or entrance test performance. Approved intake is 50 students. Generally, eligibility requires that the candidate have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam from any recognized board with minimum prescribed marks as required by regulatory authorities.
