The Institute of Advance Education and Research, IAER, was established in the year 2012 as an affiliated college based in the hart of Kolkata, West Bengal. It has a campus in the Bengal Intelligent Park, Sector V, Bidhannagar, and has various streams of academic programs running under its umbrella. IAER currently offers 24 courses under 8 degree programs that cater to the increasing needs of an ever-changing education sector. The institute delivers quality education relating to Business Administration, Computer Applications, Data Science, Healthcare, and many more in its academic faculty strength of 13 professional and dedicated faculty members.

 Institute of Advance Education and Research believes in providing the best learning experience for the students and in this respect, it designs its various facilities. It has a well-equipped library to support students with adequate academic resources in their respective pursuits. The hands-on learning and development of practical skills are supported by state-of-the-art laboratories and robust IT infrastructure. The institute offers well-furnished separate hostels for boys and girls, with caring wardens and tight security arrangements for students needing accommodation. The hostels are equipped with telephone and internet access, to assist students in regularly keeping in touch with family and friends back at home. Recreation is fulfilled by the common rooms in each hostel, which have TVs and indoor games. For instance, the institute offers transportation facilities to students and staff, sports facilities, and even has a cafeteria at the premises for refreshments.

The institute offers a full range of full-time programs, from gaining an undergraduate degree to pursuing a postgraduate diploma.  The institute also offers many specialisations for Postgraduate Diploma courses, like Business Analytics, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, Agriculture Business Management, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Data Science, Public Health Management, Banking and Finance, and Hospital Management.

The admission procedure at IAER is very comprehensive and merit-based. For some courses, the institute conducts an online entrance cum scholarship test called the IAER Common Entrance Test (ICET). It is aimed at providing bright, inquisitive young minds an opportunity from every nook and corner of the country for study in a challenging and diversified academic manner. ICET results are waived for admission to B.Sc in Operation Theatre Technology, B.Sc in Critical Care Technology, and B.Sc in Medical Lab Technology. Specific admission procedures may differ for various courses.
