The Institute of Design and Technology, Surat is basically an institute entirely concerned with the detailed study of design and fashion, based in the heart of the vibrant city of Surat in Gujarat, India, located near Rupali Naher on Bhatar Road. Though information about the founding year of the institute and its accreditations and affiliations are not known, IDT has still been established in the field of providing quality education in the discipline of fashion design. IDT is completely dedicated to supporting the development of emerging talent through its course and facility structure, considering the dynamic nature of the fashion world.

The Institute of Design and Technology has different facilities that would enhance the learning experience of students. In a bid to increase the student population, currently, the Institute of Design and Technology offers only one major course, namely the Advanced Diploma in Fashion Designing. This is a full-time, three-year course that allows the students to gain in-depth education in the different areas of fashion design.
