The IDOL Mumbai also referred to as University of Mumbai IDOL is a part of the University of Mumbai that provides numerous distance learning programs. Starting with the vision of offering continuing education and flexibility, IDOL has emerged to be a key player when it comes to non conventional methods of learning . Situated in Mumbai at Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma Bhavan, Vidyanagari, Kalina, Santacruz East this institute has been serving for the educational requirements of large no. of students. IDOL has a faculty strength of 36 committed members as faculty and is offering distance education with quality in different discipline. 

With a total of 15 course as the current number of the institute’s subjects, distributed across 7 degrees, people with a rather broad range of academic directions and employment goals can find an appropriate course here. The course include those at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels and all the programs are offered through distance learning. These programs consist of standard courses like BA, B.Com, MA in subject offerance (Economics, Education, English, Hindi, History, Marathi, Political Science, and Sociology), M.Com, B.Sc Information Technology, MCA, M.Sc in Information Technology, and M.Sc Mathematics.
