The Institute of Engineering and Technology, Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University Faizabad was established in year 2000 Ayodhya district of Uttar Pradesh. This institute is owned by government and is recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) which marks the quality study in the field of engineering. KJSCE today with a faculty team of 68 members offers 17 courses spread over 3 degree programmes in Mechanical Engineering & Specialisations in Electrical, Civil & Computer Science Engineering. The need to support technical education is evident from the institute’s portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes that have been tailored to respond to emerging challenges in the engineering industry. 

Civil and Mechanical Engineering facilities include laboratories, workshops, Computer Aided Design, and Computer Integrated Manufacture. The equipped library ensures that students have all the materials they require in their various areas of specialisation. Regarding IT, the facilities are impressive, so students have the opportunity of embracing new technologies. Departments own labs are useful for internships as they are a necessity to create a practical environment in engineering fields. electrons some amenities as that would facilitate the overall development of a student, the institute offers sporting facilities and an event/ seminar hall. The university also has different hostel facilities for the male and female students in order to provide decent living standards for those students who live inside the hostels. Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University of Engineering and Technology provides all undergraduate and postgraduate engineering courses. 

The institute offers 6 full time B.Tech programmes and five full time M.Tech programmes, and Master of Computer Applications (MCA). Over all capacities of intake approved for all the courses level is 600 students for different specific programmes. For example B.Tech Electrical and Civil Engineering has 90 seats each, other B.Tech programmes includes 60 seats each. M.Tech programmes admit only 30 students per stream, while the maximum strength of MCA programme is 60. 

The admission process at the Institute of Engineering and Technology is aimed at identifying deserving students to enrol for different programmes in the institute. However, details of the admission process are missing, but it is often the practice for the engineering instite to give significance to marks obtained in national or state level entrance examination in the B.Tech programmes. For M.Tech and MCA, the institute presumably admits the candidates based on their score obtained in the relevant entrance examination and the performance in the qualifying examination. Another fact which supports the institute on creating more industry partnership is through alumni association which is quite useful for the existing student as well as the alumni.
