IHM Bathinda: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

The Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition, Bathinda, India (IHM Bathinda) was Constituted in the year 2008. This affiliated college is of hospitality education located in the Industrial Growth Centre on Mansa Road, Bathinda, Punjab. IHM Bathinda provides a wide selection of programs; 6 courses under two degrees in order to cover different areas in hospitality sector. The institute is neither specific about the total strength and the number of faculty members but it aims at delivering quality hotel management education and other related courses.

Like any other IHM institute, IHM Bathinda can also avail the following world class facilites that will help in improving the learning abilities of the students. The institute consists of a rich library containing large amounts of books and periodicals on hospitality subjects, as well as foreign publications. Modern computerized airconditioned computer lab with 40 computers network & internet facility are available to provide practical knowledge for software of hotel management. The campus has hostels for both boys and girls where you get an opportunity to live like in a home with accompanied spacious and fully furnished rooms and bathed. In the area of physical fitness, students of this school have a gym to use. Sport freaks have outdoor amenities including a badminton court, volleyball, and for indoor games there is a provision for table tennis, carom, and chess.

The institute provides the variety of courses for hospitality sector. These comprise a 3-year full-title B.Sc in Hospitality and Hotel Administration, a number of two-year full-title diploma programs related to specialized fields of Food Production, Front Office Operation, Housekeeping & Utility, Food & Beverage Service, and Bakery & Confectionery. Regarding the number of places for each course, it is not fully defined; at least, the institute intends to prepare students in numerous aspects of hotel management and hospitality services.

The intake process of the IHM Bathinda is different as per the course program. For B.Sc in Hospitality and Hotel Administration the admission is through JEE and for NCHM JEE. For students who apply for diploma courses, students are selected according to their merit list that originated from the 10+2 examination. These lists are put on the institute’s notice board and website in accordance with the time line mentioned the admission notice. Some of the popular examination lists for the various courses of the institute include JEE Main and NCHM JEE.
