The Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition, Goa (IHM Goa), we find the pride of hotel industry’s horizon having its inception in 1968. Located in the beautiful surroundings of Alto Porvorim, Bardez, this autonomous institute occupies a spacious 4.8 acre area that ensures a balance of academic study and on the job experience. Being an institute of hospitality education IHM Goa has carved itself a niche for offering excellence education quality, the faculty here consists of 22 professional who give their best to teach students drawing from its strength the hospitality industry has their experienced faculty members with them.

Offering excellent learning facilities for each and every course, the Housekeeping Laboratory at this institute offers real life equipment and exposures in laundry, stains removing techniques, management of rooms etc. Computer Lab, a technology learning centre, familiarises the student with the current software used in the hotel industry, the Microsoft office packages, PMS packages among others. The library, which is referred to as source of water in the middle of the dry season, offers books, magazines, and journals for loaning as well as internet browsing computers. The courses provided in the institute cover a broad area of the hospitality sector to ensure that all subsections are well addressed. The IHM Goa offers its premier course in three years B.Sc Hospitality and Hotel Administration which is a full time course to pursue in hotel management. Additionally, the institute offers two one-year diploma programmes: trade test in Food Production and trade test in Food and Beverage Service. The following are concerning admissions at IHM Goa It is important for any institute to have a sound admission policy that will admit competent students in its programmes. For the B.Sc in Hospitality and Hotel Administration, admissions are given to the Council for Hotel Management Joint Entrance Examination for NCHM JEE. This national level examination puts it in a place to guarantee that the most qualified candidates are in this programme. However, students who are willing to appear for 10+2 examination or any equivalent examination in any stream can apply for the NCHM JEE examination on and off basis and their admission to NCHMCTI will be subject to their passing the qualifying examination. 

Although one cannot pinpoint which scholarship is offered, the role of the institute in developing talent is clear, and this means that candidates can apply for one or more scholarships for consideration.
