IHM Hyderabad: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

The Institute of Hotel Management, Hyderabad or IHM Hyderabad is an autonomous college established in 1972 with an objective to impart and train students for hospitality business. IHM Hyderabad offers courses at different levels - diploma, UG and PG. Some of the IHM-Hyderabad courses are B.Sc, M.Sc and PG Diploma. IHM Hyderabad offers full time courses wherein the admission to the UG programme is offered on the basis of merit in the NCHM-JEE. The admission at PG courses is done either through direct admission or through the merit in the entrance exam. IHM HYderabad also has a placement cell that helps the students get job opportunities at the top hotels and companies with good salary packages.

As per the placement statistics, over 80% of the students are offered job opportunities in the IHM Hyderabad placement drive, and nearly 40 companies participate in the placement drive each year. Along with it, the campus is housed with a lot of facilities for students and staff which includes, hostels, music studios, ATMs, auditorium, sports facilities and so on.

IHM Hyderabad Courses & Fee

The institute offers three courses at the undergraduate, post graduate and PG diploma courses. The courses offered at IHM Hyderabad are full time wherein there is one UG course of three years, one PG course of two years while there is one post graduate diploma course of one year and six months. The UG course at IIHM Hyderabad is offered in BSc Hospitality and Hotel Administration. The PG and PD diploma courses are offered in M.Sc Hospitality Administration and PG Diploma in Accommodation Operation and Management respectively. The fee at IHM Hyderabad ranges from Rs 30, 400 to Rs. 1,30,210 per annum depending on the level of the course.

IHM Hyderabad Admission

Admission at IHM Hyderabad is based on merit. Students willing to take admission in IHM Hyderabad for the UG programme must appear for a national level entrance exam, NCHMCT JEE conducted by NTA. Admission at the M.Sc programme is done through direct admission for experienced students or through an entrance exam for students willing to pursue the PG course just after graduating. Admission to the post graduation diploma course is offered based on the qualifying marks and interview marks.

IHM Hyderabad Placement

The placement at IHM Hyderabad is conducted by the placement cell available at the institute. The cell is responsible for conducting, and training the students for the placement. Placement at IHM Hyderabad invites recruiters like ITC, Oberoi’s, Taj, Hyatt, Accor, Marriott, Reliance, Starbucks and many more.

IHM Hyderabad Cutoff

The admission at IHM Hyderabad offered to only those students who secure the minimum required cut off marks. IHM Hyderabad cut off is released category wise in the form of NCHMCT JEE. The cut off is determined on the basis of the difficulty level of the entrance exam, number of students taking the test and the previous year cut off trends.

IHM Hyderabad Facilities

To give a comfortable and happening environment to the staff and the students, IHM Hyderabad has a lot of facilities. These facilities include hostel facilities, Music cafe, indoor and outdoor games, Auditorium, ATM in the campus, other sport facilities and so on.  Along with this, various festivals and fairs are celebrated on campus for fun. IHM Hyderabad Location

The institute is located in D.D.Colony, Vidyanagar, Hyderabad. Students can read here by taking a cab or an auto from the nearest airport, bus stand or the railways station. The nearest airport to IHM Hyderabad is Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Shamshabad which is situated at a distance of 31 km from the campus. The railway station is located at a distance of 6.9 kms while the nearest bus stand is in Imlibun in Gowliguda which is 5.8 kms from the institute.
