Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition Ranchi which was established in the year 2019 only. The institute is independently established in Brambe, Ranchi, Jharkhand, for creating professionals for the hospitality industry in future. Though IHM Ranchi is a relatively young institute, it has carved its niche in the provided field of study very soon. Actually, it has a small and specific number of students, 31 in total, at the moment, backed by a team of 8 professors with the further beneficial student/teacher ratio augmented to improve the educational process.
Institute of Hotel Management Ranchi has installed modern amenities that lead to exposing the learners to the current education teaching methods. The institute also maintains a well stocked library to ensure that the students discover a world full of hospitality literature and Research. It also provides skill development with modern state of the art laboratory facilities to expose students in a professional training environment. The campus also has facilities for games so that the students work and rest to ensure that they are healthy. An auditorium that is positioned on the site of the BPP University provides a platform for the different activities such as events, seminars as well as guest lectures hence enhancing the learning of the students. The institute has to prove its concern with technology by seeing the robust computerization and the IT facilities available for students making them aware of modern changes in hospitality sectors. This is especially occupying a serious intellectual work, there is a cafeteria on campus where people can relax and socialise.

It is a full time course and can be completed in a period of three years with the intention of giving the students a sound knowledge of the principles and practices forming the hospitality industry. The IHM Ranchi admission process is followed as per the National Council for Hotel Management Joint Entrance Examination, NCHM JEE, conducted through a Computer Based Test, CBT, by the National Testing Agency, NTA. It is the first of entrance exams opening the gate to the national level for admitting into some of the institutes like IHM Ranchi and other similar ones all over India. - Fill out the application form: All personal and academic details are to be filled out correctly in the NCHM JEE application form.
- Attach necessary documents: This may essentially be a photograph of size similar to the recent passport size photo, scanned copy of the signature, etc, and as mandated in application guidelines.
- Pay for NCHM JEE: Apply for making payments for application fees of NCHM JEE as mandated via online.
- NCHM JEE Reporting: The applicant shall present himself/herself at a specific center allotted by the university, as per date scheduled to undergo Computer Based Test.
- Result Analysis: After declaring the results for NCHM JEE, analyse your results and rank yourself.
- Counselling Process: Being qualified, undertake the centralised counselling process for a seat in some of the prestigious IHMs like IHM Ranchi.
- Document verification: If allotted a seat at IHM Ranchi, report to the institute for document verification and admission formalities.
