FPM at IMT Hyderabad Offline Course

IMT Hyderabad is happy to announce the commencement of the prestigious Fellow Program in Management (FPM). This program is rigorous, multidisciplinary, and broad in scope. The intensity of the program demands energy and zeal in the pursuit of greater insight into the chosen topic and a willingness to master all essential components of academic research. Such preparedness is expected to reach its culmination in the original research presented in a candidate’s doctoral thesis and conferment of the FPM.

This program is ideal for those endowed with academic aptitude, inquisitive minds, and passion for teaching, research, and consultancy. Its pursuit requires intellectual maturity, the strength of purpose and willingness to work hard.

The fellowship program requires four years of study, which includes two years of rigorous course work followed by two years of work in the doctoral dissertation. A candidate is expected to submit the thesis within this period. An extension of one year may be provided in exceptional circumstances on the submission of a written request to the FPM Committee. 

The objectives of IMT Hyderabad FPM Program are

FPM candidates are eligible for a monthly stipend to cover their living expenses, books and materials, and other contingency expenses in addition to being provided with a hostel accommodation based on satisfactory academic performance. The monthly stipend would be INR 35000 at the start of the program. Upon completion of 50% of the required coursework, the stipend would be enhanced to INR 42500. Further, upon successful defense of their Thesis Research Proposal, the monthly stipend will be enhanced to INR 50000. The stipend will remain at this level till the time of candidate’s thesis defense (or four years from the start of the program or until the candidate joins external employment, whichever is earlier). The monthly stipend is conditional on satisfactory fulfillment of research and teaching assistantship requirements of the functional area the candidate belongs to. Therefore, only candidates who are not currently employed by any organization are eligible to receive the monthly stipend. Candidates who wish to continue with their current employment are not eligible for the monthly stipend. Additionally, each candidate is required to pay the mess charges as per IMT Hyderabad rules.
