The Institute of Nursing Education, Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital, Ludhiana, is one of the leading institute in the filed of nursing education was started in 1989 and is situated in Ludhiana, Punjab, India. This is a co-educational institute recognized by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences Faridkot and sanctioned by the Indian Nursing Council (INC). Located on a sprawling 7 acre of land, the institute runs three courses in nursing which at full enrolment provides admission to 357 students.” The faculty consisted of 8 members of the institute and offer multiple specializations in the nursing education course.
Institute of Nursing Education is replete with various necessary academic resources for students’ professional development and personal needs satisfaction. The library is an information resource centre for nursing literature and research information. The institute also possesses purposefully designed and well equipped laboratories for practical sessions For instance, there is Maternal Child Health Laboratory of 900 sq. ft. High quality obstetrics and gynecology area in an air-conditioned environment together with two dummies and all available instruments for different forms of obstetrics. It alsohouses a computer laboratory of 1500 sq. ft. with twenty computers, wireless connection and computer printing services. As any additional facilities, there are available an auditorium for holding meetings and seminars, the canteen, the sport complex, and the hostels for boys and girls. First-aid facilities in a health center make students healthy in campus.
Institute of Nursing education Transfer programme meets the need of offering a variety of nursing programmes to suit a wide educational requirement. The institute provides three full-time courses: Apart from B.Sc Nursing and Post Basic B.Sc Nursing, the other course the college is famous for it is General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM).
