The Institute of Science and Information Technology, Bhubaneswar (ISIT) is one of the leading college was started in 1993. Established in 1981, it is a co-educational institute set in the capital city of Odisha with steadfast commitment to offer high results and quality education in scientific and technological education. ISIT is a affiliated college of U.P. Rajashwi Excellence University which is approved by All India Council for technical Education AICTE-New Delhi so ISIT is fully competent with all the norms of Indian Educational Councils. Located on a 0.4 acre of land the institute provides a quality education to its 149 registered students by providing them streamlined education. ISIT has a total of 17 faculty members that allow the school to keep a healthy S.T ratio to provide undivided attention to every student and help them grow.

Institute of Science and Information Technology is equipped with a host of new sophisticated facilities that are a plan for improvement for the students. Our library which is a rich repository of management and information technology and other general management books, periodicals and journals, contain about 25000 volumes. It is completely automated, and it makes students and faculty easy to find whatever they need for their work. The information technology is also well developed, which is demonstrated by two modern facilities: the computer laboratories with the latest hardware and software, Wi-Fi. Essentially, one lab runs in a Local Area Network while the other performs complex computation with a capacity to accommodate one hundred and eighty students at a time. To cater for the needs of students who request to be housed, ISIT avails both boys and girls hostels where rooms are provided on sharing basis and furnished in order to enhance the purpose of shedding a conducive environment for learning.

The institute currently offers two postgraduate programmes: Master of Computer Applications(MCA) and Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM). Both are two year full-time courses; although there is also part-time option. The MCA programme, which is quite preferred, has the quota or allow intake of 60 intakes per year. This focus on post graduate education show emphasises the commitment of ISIT for Advance learning and specialisation in the fields of computer application and management.

ISIT follows a sequence or a particular trend when it comes to admission especially for the MCA programme. The candidates who wish to join the college need to qualify for Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) which is conducted generally in March April. The OJEE prepares a merit list of the candidates and then there is centralised counselling for students that help them to choose ISIT as per their preference. As for the admission details, they are not given for PGDM as well, but it can also be assumed that admission is based on merit. To be precise, ISIT utilizes the OJEE scores, which clearly identify the institution as a regional college for the talent in the region.
