Institute of Tourism Studies, University of Lucknow, Lucknow (ITS-UoL) is one of the most renowned Tourist and Hospitality Management education institutions. This institute was set up in 1994 as a co-educational institute situated in Jankipuram, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. This institute offers broad specialisations in undergraduate and Master's programmes Tourism and Hospitality Management Tourism. At present, the institute has only three faculties and its thrust is to offer quality education in tourism. The campus of the centre is located in the second campus of the University of Lucknow and provides optimum conditions for studies and development in this perspective industry. 

For its part, ITS-UoL has some of the most fantastic facilities for academic programmes and to improve the student’s learning experience. Academic section of the institute also boasts of a well-equipped central library particularly with reference books on tourism & hospitality. Thus, students have an advantage of learning in well equipped modern laboratories and having proper IT facilities which help them understand the emergent tendencies and novelties, appearing in the given spheres. The campus is well endowed with class and training facilities that include modern equipped classroom, training infrastructure, training workshops among others. The Training and Placement Cell helps the desired professional, as a mediator between the prospective employers and organisations where placements/recruitment are carried out to identify and arrange campus interviews and other activities. It also provides boys and girls hostels making students living comfortable for those who come from other states. Other facilities are an event and seminar centre, and a canteen for the provision of light meals and snacks. 

Institute of Tourism Studies provides a complete portfolio of programmes and courses needed to support a dynamic and diverse global tourism and hospitality industry. The institute offers 8 courses in 6 of its full-time programmes of study. These are Doctor of Philosophy in Tourism, Masters in Tourism and Travel Management, Masters in Tourism and Tourism Event Management, Bachelors of Business Administration in Tourism, Bachelors in Tourism and Travel Management, and Bachelors in Hospitality Management. Diplomas offered include Diploma in International Airlines Ticketing and CRS and Diploma in Food Production. This diverse range of programmes has the ability to guarantee students’ selection of programmes that provide entry to career paths within several segments of the tourism and hospitality industry.
