The Institute of Vocational Studies, Awadh Centre of Education, New Delhi was set up in the year of 2002 and it is now a leading institution of India’s capital city. This co educational institute is present in Bhopal and is an affiliated college which has been approved by the National Council for Teacher Education ( NCTE) and the college has a small area of 0.60837 acres. The institute has received accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council [NAAC] proving the institutes stand on quality education. The majority of students, 197, are in the two teacher training courses focusing on institute courses as can be seen below. The faculty comprises of fifteen experienced educators to provide individual care and counselling to education enthusiasts.

The Institute of Vocational Studies boastsably of having equipped facilities to complement and facilitate the learning process to the learners. Our college has a fully stocked library with books, journals and magazines, electronic surfing and photocopying facilities. The airconditioned reading room is very suitable for reading, studying or for any kind of research. The information technology aspects of the institute include a large computer laboratory with sixty desktop computers and high-speed broadband connection. To enhance learning the campus is fitted with Wi-Fi thus enabling the students to use the internet easily. In this respect recreational activities include campus sports facilities as well as a college canteen. The multipurpose auditorium with sitting capacity of 200 is used for organising seminars, presentations, workshops and cultural events. It also has a health centre, complete with first aid provisions to guarantee that students are healthy.

The Institute of Vocational Studies here teaches two full courses in the given specialised field of education. Teaching capacity for the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programme is one hundred and teaching capacity for the Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) programme is fifty. Both courses aims at preparing students with the right skills and knowledge upon which they can pursue a successful teaching career. In total in student enrolment the institute currently registers 197 students illustrating the specialised nature of teachers training. Dedicated data as to the number of graduates is lacking but the institute promotes quality in training and education thereby implying a high pass rate amongst learners.

The entry criteria in the Institute of Vocational Studies is academic, In light of the candidates respective performance in the qualifying examination as well as the entrance examination of the Institute of Vocational Studies. Selection for the B.Ed programme depends on the score get from the qualifying examination or set Admission test/Selection process. Likewise the admission to the D.El.Ed programme also depends on the merit of the candidate or the marks secured by him/ her in the relevant examination. The admission process of the institute is also official and official and the attractive policy towards all suitable candidates is also fair. Regarding the specific information about scholarships, it is unknown, but, most probably, the institute provides different types of financial aid for learners who in need. Due to its streamlined niche in training teachers and well equipped infrastructure, the Institute of Vocational Studies still has a significant responsibility of determining the future of Education professionals and practicing teachers in New Delhi and other parts of the country.
