Inter National Institute of Fashion Design (INIFD), Lucknow, is a sector specific centre of learning that is instrumental in shaping creative talent in the fashion and interiors domain. Founded in 1999, INIFD Lucknow has been preparing the next generation of fashion designers for more than twenty years. The institute is well connected making it much easier for students from different regions of the city to access the institute. Some of these are Foundation Program, Advanced Program, Specialisation Program and Super specialisation courses offered in fashion and interior designing. The annual Fashion Design and Interior Design Foundation Program give newcomers to the course a preliminary training in the basics of the subject. While advanced level, more detail study is available in Advanced Program in Fashion Design and Interior Design which is a two-year course. It also has three-year Specialisation Program and two-year Super Specialisation course in both disciplines, under which students can groom themselves in specific subject of their choice.

The institute may use tests results combined with other factors, such as academic records, portfolio samples, and interviews that help to estimate candidates’ skills and their appreciation and love to the world of design.
