IRSHA, an autonomous constituent college was established in the year 2002 to move with the modern era of health care system. ERSHA is situated on Pune- Satara Road in association with Bharati Vidyapeeth Education campus and aims at take up the health science research. The institute has four doctoral programs, namely Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Interdisciplinary Sciences and Ayurveda. IRSHA has a very limited faculty of 16 and currently has only 3 students enrolled with it hence the institute offers a closely knitted research oriented body. Due to its insistence on producing and employing world-class health sciences research, the institute is ideal for young scholars in these areas. Over all the institute provide four full time doctoral programs with the Doctor of Philosophy degree title. These programs are spread across Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Interdisciplinary Science, and Ayurved, which is in compliance with the principle of missions of IRSHA exploring different dimensions of health science sector. Each of them is planned to be delivered in six years, so there is an opportunity to accomplish deep research and study. That said, the number of seats in each program is not mentioned, however, the total number of students the institute admits is only 3, which makes it quite a selective institute. This limited intake also gives an impression that the experience in the doctoral education will be highly individualistic, and the students will heavily be supervised by the faculty.
