Application Process

The admission procedure for IITB's B.Tech programmes has a direct connection with the JEE Main examination. Following is a step-by-step process:

3. Pay the JEE Main application fee.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Tech: IITB has five full-time B.Tech programs. The candidate is enrolled in these programs based on the performance in the JEE Main exam. Specializations of the institute include Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering. The candidates need to pass 10+2 with the given subjects and should be within the cutoff marks in JEE Main to get enrolled.

Diploma: Two diploma courses - Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (II Shift) and Diploma in Civil Engineering (II Shift) - are also offered by IITB. The admission process for diploma courses could be different from B.Tech courses. Admissions to diplomas are normally on the basis of the performance of the candidate in the respective state-level entrance test or marks scored in the qualifying examination (10th or 12th standard, whichever is applicable).
